Gilfach Goch RFC has a rich history, which is based on the people who have made the club great.  The club values tradition, whilst also embracing change. This translates into legacy by players, members, volunteers and other stakeholders committed to leaving the club in a better place through hard work and influence.

Community

Gilfach Goch RFC is the hub of the local community and values the support and hard work of all those involved with the club. There is a recognition of the value that the community brings to provide rugby and social opportunities through the game at all levels for all the members and stakeholders of the club and community.

Teamwork

Gilfach Goch RFC are committed to developing people through the sense of being one team. The importance of respect, honesty, support, thinking and doing is critical in building our team. The team is more important than the individual and we strive to be team builders.

Our Mission is...

To create a supportive environment where positive and competitive rugby can be played and enjoyed by all ages regardless of gender, sexual orientation, culture, political beliefs or religion.

To promote the sport of rugby within the community, developing players to their highest potential in a positive environment while encouraging discipline, commitment, integrity and honour both on and off the pitch in order to encourage maximum participation and enjoyment at all levels.

To secure the long-term future of Gilfach Goch RFC for future generations by striving to be a corporately managed WRU club & be a recognised contributor of rugby for the surrounding area.

To play rugby at the highest level & to be club of choice in the surrounding area.

To provide the best possible rugby experience, giving each player the opportunity to reach their full individual potential. 

We strive to ensure that each player will be able to have fun, make new friends, experience the unique culture of rugby and learn about participating positively in a demanding team sport

Our Goals are...

To build, from the ground up, an inclusive rugby club that sponsors all levels of play including Mini, Junior, Youth & Senior teams

To encourage the development of a rugby family ethos, providing the warmest welcome to new players and providing mentoring support for all

To highly value volunteers, fostering positive growth of the game and providing support of every club member both on and off the field

To dedicate ourselves to the creation of a professionally run rugby organization with the highest quality coaching staff, who are passionate, to engage players and supporters who will support its growth.
